Bali
Bali is an island and the smallest province of Indonesia, and includes some smaller neighboring islands, namely Nusa Penida. It is located at the western end of the Lesser Sunda Islands, between Java to the west and Lombok to the east, and has its capital Denpasar in the southern part of the island.
There is no doubt that the island of Bali in Indonesia occupies a privileged place in the collective imagination.
This is what the inhabitants of Bali believe, that the gods chose their island to live in. Thus the duty of the 3.5 million Balinese is to preserve its undeniable beauty. A belief that is due to the great implantation of Hinduism in Bali, where almost 90% of the population is Muslim.
Tourism
Bali, the famous island of the gods, with its varied landscape of hills and mountains, rugged coasts and paradisiacal beaches, stunning natural landscapes, majestic shrines, lush rice terraces and barren volcanic slopes all providing a picturesque backdrop to its colorful. A deeply spiritual and unique culture. Heaven on earth. With world-class surfing and diving, a wealth of cultural, historical and archaeological attractions, and a huge variety of accommodations, this is one of the world's most popular island destinations and one that consistently earns travel awards.
Gastronomy
In Bali you eat at great low prices, and with dishes prepared with a wonderful esthetics. There are excellent Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, International or Asian restaurants. The main gourmet center is Ubud Bali, but in the area itself Kuta and Legian also has excellent cuisine.
Numerous foreign chefs have settled in Bali and some have set up their own restaurant at the same time, which many local chefs teach in the preparation of international dishes. You can find beautiful sites, surrounded by beautiful gardens and lakes with some floating lotus.
There are also several beach bars and establishments where very simple dishes and fresh juices are served. There are elegant European-style cafes serving special selections of freshly roasted Indonesian coffees. We also find other modern cafes that mimic the style of the French patisseries and express bars, where the Italian sandwiches and salads are served.
In any case, the newcomer will notice that local cuisine, as in other Asian countries, is characterized by the presence of intense flavors and the usual use of spices. Another important detail: the protagonism that plays a single ingredient: rice (nasi), a cereal that for centuries has been constituting itself as one of the pillars of the economy of the island. Rice is part of the traditional daily menu where it is consumed fried, steamed (pusih), accompanied by vegetables, meat or fish.
Other common ingredients are corn and sago (palm meal), not to mention the important role of tropical fruits.

The most typical Bali drink is the Dum, a kind of wine. As a general rule, beer consumption decreases on days when there is some celebration.
Bintang is the most popular and refreshing beer.
Bali also produces local wine called Hatten Rose which is light, dry and economical. The local liquor is the par excellence liquor "arak" made of palm, can be taken in combination with fruit juices. And the local cafe called "Kopi Bali" and is served very strong.
The fruit has a special role in Bali, in addition to the usual elsewhere, such as oranges, lemons, apples, bananas, bananas, watermelons, etc. The climate of Bali favors abundance of tropical fruits like pineapple, coconut, lichys, papaya, lemon, mango, pomegranate, durians, grapefruits, guavas, passion fruit.
Weather
Bali is a hot and humid island and practically all year round with temperatures of around 30ºC. The Balinese define Bali in two seasons: the drought (high season) that runs from April to late September and the rainy season (low season) that begins in October and runs through the end of March.
