Tourism
The town of Sète is a real jewel on the south coast of France. Sète and has become one of the fastest growing cities in the hottest zones in the south of France.
Seven grew rapidly during the seventeenth century due to its links with the Canal du Midi and the Rhone Canal. The town of Sète wraps itself around the rocky promontory Mont St. Clair. The old district of Sète crosses the Canal Real, ideal for those who want to spend most of their time in Sete, walking along the canals and in the old quarter where there are many seafood restaurants and terraces.
On the other side of the city are also some excellent beaches, including a long stretch of golden sand beaches.
Two other attractions are the two museums Georges Brassens and Paul Valery.
For a fan of water sports, this is an ideal destination. There is practically no water activity, from sailing to swimming and even diving, which is not possible here. Sète also organizes Jousting water tournaments, like its neighbors in Montpellier.
