Ibiza
Ibiza is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, 79 km (49 miles) off the coast of the city of Valencia in eastern Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. Its largest cities are the city of Ibiza (Catalan: Vila d'Eivissa, or simply Vila), Santa Eulària des Riu, and Sant Antoni de Portmany.
Its highest point, called Sa Talaiassa (or Sa Talaia), is 475 meters (1,558 feet) above sea level.
Tourism
Sun, beach and lively evenings make Ibiza a special place, the most fabulous and fascinating island of the Balearic Islands.
If you are looking for rest and relaxation in the sun, but at the same time having a very lively holiday, both day and night, Ibiza is the right destination.
With only about 45 kilometers from one end to the other, Ibiza is an idyllic spot with tranquil countryside-like landscapes, mild temperatures and a generous sunshine that shines through most of the year. The clear waters of its beaches invite to baths and dives permanently. You can choose between small coves, extensive fine sand beaches or the dunes. But Ibiza is not only sun and sea. Inside the island there are places worth discovering.
A place of passage for many civilizations, Ibiza has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO thanks to its cultural richness, such as the Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta, the necropolis of Puig des Molins and the historic center of Eivissa, Dalt Vila.
On this island you will also find a unique and different environment where the fun reigns. A vitality that is reflected in its varied cultural agenda and its nightlife. The nightlife of Ibiza is known all over the world, not only for its fashionable venues and nightclubs, but also for the many activities developed when the sun disappears: street and garden markets, outdoor cultural activities, music concerts. Thousands of young people come every year to watch the latest musical trends and dance at any time of the day.
Sun, beach, beautiful people and (much) party. The perfect combination, which makes Ibiza the fun capital of the world and one of the hottest islands on the planet, in this Spanish natural paradise, with 18 km of beautiful beaches and very white sand and crystalline blue water of the Mediterranean.
The beautiful beaches are on the main tourist route of Ibiza and there are options for all tastes and styles. Salinas and Bossa are the most popular beaches, where the most crowded parties take place in summer. Es Cavallet has become the official nudist beach and is good for hiking.

The list of well-known beaches also includes Cala Jondal, Cala Tarida, Cala Hort, Es Canar, Cala Sant Vicent, among others. In most of them, you have to pay for the chair and umbrella in the sand. You can also take a ferry trip to see the island. The tour to the nearby island of Formentera is worth it!

Outside the circuit of the beaches, you can find mountains and vegetation full of pine, olive and almond trees, in a very pleasant setting. On the way to the coast, visit Cova de Can Marca, a collection of underground caves illuminated with colorful lights.

Also explore the old town Dalt Vila, full of churches and museums. The different villages on the island are also recommended. One of them is called Sant Antoni, which, they say, has the most beautiful sunset in the world.

Endless nights, unlimited fun, international places of fame, Ibiza has everything to enjoy a great holiday, where you can make new friends and dance nonstop until dawn. The nightlife is so important that during the day there are creative parades, with amazing spectacles through the streets of Ibiza's marina to announce and promote what the various venues have to offer at night.
Ibiza nights are unforgettable, so thousands of people choose to spend a fun and different holiday. Here you can have fun in some of the best nightclubs in the world, where they are known DJ that will make you dance without stopping.

Ibiza also has plenty of history and cultural attractions worth seeing. The city of cobbled streets and sidewalks was an imposing fortress. Before belonging to the Spanish crown, it was owned by Phoenicians and Romans. The walls that remained served as the basis for many of today's peculiar architectural constructions. The typical white houses of the fishing villages, as in Balafia, are a charm and very sui generis.

The oldest part of the island is Dalt Vila. This medieval region was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has the Museum of Contemporary Art, pioneer in Spain, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows.
Gastronomy
The cuisine of Ibiza sums up the culture and history of Pitiusan Island to perfection.
Modest agricultural products like potatoes are products used par excellence.
Gourmets praise the virtues of Ibiza potatoes, with its unique floury texture and the ability to organize a wide variety of dishes. "Sobrassada" (blood and paprika sausages) and "butifarrons" (black chorizo) are the more traditional types of cold meats, laboriously prepared during the fun slaughtering ceremony.
Whoever visits the islands of Ibiza will find restaurants that cultivate traditional cuisine with special care and create suggestive culinary delights based on high quality local produce.
Below are some of the most typical dishes of the Island:

Pa Torrat amb Tomata (sliced toasted bread with tomatoes)
Guisat de peix (fish stew)
Bullit de peix (fish soup)
Arròs de matances (rice with pork)
Sofrit Pagès (beef and sausage with lightly fried onion and garlic)
Amanida de peix sec (dried fish salad)
Burst of Burst.

As for desserts and drinks include two candies that stand out above all others. The first is "Flao", a cottage cheese pie made from eggs, two types of anise oil, sugar and mint, which used to be prepared at Easter, but which is now possible to enjoy all year. The second is "orelletes and buñuelos", fried dough dishes that are two of the most popular desserts of the islands, indispensable in family celebrations and popular parties.
Weather
The summer season and the really hot first days of the beach begin in May, with beautiful sunny days and clear temperatures in the mid-twenties.
Between the months of June and September, there is very little rain. In August and September the temperature rises to more than 30 º C, with the water temperature between 25 º - 27 º C.
