Well ... affectionate to the myths, the porteños began to spread the story that this ´´minimal´´ house was actually the ´´house of the freed slave´´, and they located in it a former slave from Urquiza , who upon being given the law of the freedom of bellies in 1813, during the sessions of the Assembly of the year XIII, became a freedman. His former master would have given him a small place to live, and that would be the origin of the ´´minimal´´ house. But this has no real basis, nor is there any way to prove it. The reality is quite different. Although the house is actually from the first half of the 19th century, it is actually a residual space of the buildings on the block that remained after successive renovations.

But let's go back to the Pasaje San Lorenzo; at number 380 stands the narrowest house in Buenos Aires. Its front is 2.50 meters wide and 13 meters deep. It is estimated that it dates from the early nineteenth century, and together with the house of María Josefa Escurra, in Alsina 455/63, they are the only two examples of civil architecture from that time.
